The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Party

Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a diverse cast of heroes, and a thrilling plot including celestial beings, evil spirits, and dark forces growing in power within the city.

Heads-up: Revealing details for the third episode of the new season lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

Episode 3 ended with a major cliffhanger and presented the initial group of adventurers who will branch out from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, separate from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table consists of the determined fighter (played by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

With a large ensemble, it was clear from the beginning that having everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

This explains, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Introduction, weaving together the personal journeys before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Warrior Group

As described by the DM, the combat-focused party is for players who are drawn to a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where diplomatic options are scarce.

At first glance, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might appear out of place, but the events of the third episode demonstrate why these particular heroes are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

First, the group has a clear idea where to proceed after a violent opening clash with The Crow Keepers.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose demise kicked off the story’s plot—used the enemy for his own means, invading Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and taking all the magical artifacts to dispose of.

Casimir then cleared his debts and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, beyond the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.

Individual Reasons

Secondly, each character has a specific drive to exit the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and trusted friend, desires vengeance.
  • Kattigan has experience in the region and warns that it is a hostile environment.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having disobeyed his house’s orders to kill Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their status as important members in the powerful family could assist the team reach locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, Teor vowed a eternal obligation to Wicander for his rescue and will now follow him anywhere.

Fugitives

Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that control the setting for a range of causes, making lingering locally too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and Wicander turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The target is wanted dead by the clan.

This results in them little choice but to journey toward the northern region in quest for Casimir.

What’s Next?

Based on the latest episode’s post-show segment, we discover that the Soldiers table won’t be around the following episode, leaving the other eight participants to assemble the Explorers and Planners parties.

Audiences can look forward to learning which players will be where in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on next week.
